Dance Uprising is a modern & contemporary dance company located in Ann Arbor, MI, directed by dancer/choreographer Amy Cadwallader. We work collaboratively to create meaningful dance choreography based on political, social, and personal themes experienced by the Dance Uprising cast. We produce professional dance concerts in the Southeast Michigan area!

Take a journey from loneliness to human connection with this collection of LGBTQ dance performers/scholars from Ann Arbor, Michigan! We seek to define partnering, understand what it means in a traditional sense, and find ways to subvert the status quo -- while building meaningful connection between
